- Camera Access: Used exclusively for the AR (Augmented Reality) Qibla feature powered by Google's Qibla Finder service.
- Compass/Magnetometer: Used to display accurate Qibla direction on your device.
- Notification Access: Used to send prayer time reminders and jamaat time updates for your subscribed mosques.
- Do Not Disturb Access (Android): Used for the Auto-Vibrate feature to automatically set your phone to vibrate mode during prayer times.
All sensor data (location, compass) is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to external servers.
How We Use Your Information
The information accessed by our app is used solely to:
- Display accurate prayer times based on your location
- Show Qibla direction using compass and AR features
- Locate nearby mosques and their jamaat times
- Send timely prayer and jamaat reminders
- Automatically manage phone ringer settings during prayers (if enabled)
Third-Party Services
Our app integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google Qibla Finder: For AR-based Qibla direction feature
- Google Maps: For displaying mosque locations and navigation
- Firebase: For authentication, cloud messaging (notifications), analytics, and crash reporting
- Algolia: For mosque search functionality
Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing their use of data.
Data Storage
Your app preferences, subscribed mosques, and notification settings are stored:
- Locally: On your device for offline access
- Cloud (Optional): In Firebase if you sign in with Google, to sync your preferences across devices and restore after reinstall
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Revoke any permission at any time through your device settings
- Clear app data to remove all locally stored information
- Delete your account to remove cloud-stored preferences
